Shooting a Reality Show at Morocco!

Posted: by Juan Carlos Cajiao Velasco Freelance Director and Director Of Photography in Labels: , , ,

With the magical influences and atmosphere that this beautiful country shares with its visitors we are shooting the reality show Desafio 2014!

Conceptual lighting design by Juan Carlos Cajiao, a new opportunity and blessing from above!

Soon on air! Just wait for great views and surprises.

The project has two phases: the shooting of the whole advertising campaign around Morocco and then the design of the show lighting itself. Juan Cajiao has the task and duty of showing the audience how outstanding and beautiful this land is using a F55 Sony camera and master prime lens. Using available light and looking for the magic hour on most shots to grab the arabian magic.

Thanks Gustavo Llorente my camera and focus puller for his efforts and commitment! And thanks to the whole production team that made this happen!
Mafe Arbelaez, Margarita Rosa, Merceditas, great travel companions! Bless ya!

Here some snapshots:

Blu Radio Station new Spots for "Placa Blu" Contest.

Posted: by Juan Carlos Cajiao Velasco Freelance Director and Director Of Photography in Labels: , , , , , , , ,

Two funny spots created by Creative Autopromo Department of Caracol T.V. were directed and photographed by associated director Juan Carlos Cajiao.

The team shot with a 5D mark III package, boosted with new Zeiss prime lenses.

The natural look grabbed on the image was a mixture of natural/artificial location lighting and small key lights around the set.

The natural appearance and acting was the main goal in order to make the funny twist in one of the pieces.
The other a little more conceptual, used several types of plaques: conmemoratives, automotives, dentals, from pets, and so on to associate the BLU PLAQUE contest with them.
