On set of new assignment: Conceptual light design of the Bolivar TV serie.

Posted: Saturday, May 5, 2018 by Juan Carlos Cajiao Velasco Freelance Director and Director Of Photography in Labels: , , , , ,

Juan Carlos Cajiao is now working on the new serie: Bolivar.

Depicting the time and space when Simon Bolivar was fighting for the Independence sake.

The challenge doing this kind of project is gruesome but with and excellent sets and locations is really enjoyable task.

Lighting with apparently no lighting...

Again using the Skypanels fixtures and Kino Select color with flame leds bulbs and a lot of mirrors and the spectacular CRLS Dedolight system the painting labour is just beautiful and heart and mind blowing.

Making the ancient textures come to life with lighting!

Here with my right hand and eye: William Aponte, gaffer and second director of photography of our Unit.

Soon some shots from set!

The new project for JGB Tarrito Rojo is really loaded of great effects and shots!

Shot with Arri Camera and lenses on location set at Colombia

Direction assignment from PC Caracol and again our JGB client put its trust on us and our job. And the final result was such a good piece.

Great postproduction rendering and design by La Post house. Thanks everyone for an outstanding job and effort.

Tarrito Rojo JGB is a classic nutritional supplement in Colombia.

The conceptual lighting design of a new serie is done!

As director of photography Juan Carlos Cajiao finished another assignment:

Now with a police drama incarnation of several undercover police team that are seeking the truth and justice but in the meantime they all are losing their personal lives.

With an urban and dark lighting design this new serie is up close and personal. Willing to keep the drama just too close to the audience. The color temperature of fixtures was a vital part of the conceptual approach of lighting.

Arri Skypanels and Kinoflo Select color fixtures mixed all together with practicals and natural ambience made the twisted realism we wanted in the entire story.
