The idea: to bring a good moment for the moms. freezing up that instant of their little children being babies, all with a good prize: a photo session made up by the pro babies photographer Isa Saa, located at Cali, Colombia.

Shot on the real studio set and using this cozy ambience created by director and photographer Juan Carlos Cajiao, and the talent of our invited photographer and our art director: Polosoy.

This new project for the new Canal Uno was assigned to Juan Carlos Cajiao as lighting advisor and designer.

Two huge studios are the main sets for the show. Each one with a different mood and look, as the director asked: One, the first one has a spectacular ambience intention. The other has a typical sport field approach, filled with lights.

Both of them have no lighting on top. Clear view skies were another thing to keep in  mind on the moment of designing this setup.

With the two years long project: Asi Somos (This way we are) and its second season the general director of project and director of photography, Juan Carlos Cajiao Velasco was awarded by the Premios India Catalina Commitee as best photographer. This award is shared with the second unit director/photographer Carlos Hernandez.




More than 300 micro documentaries has been shot along this two years across Colombia. Reaching each corner of the spectacular territory of this South American country, with interviews of different kind of people and social groups.






A photo conceptual approach intented to create "docuchic" pieces taking advantage of natural light on the right instant and extending the magic hours over the time, framing these "living portraits" as Cajiao called them, to grab the inner soul of each person and knowing how we are in this extremely authentic and amazing country: Colombia.

The new season for the Asi Somos micro documentaries serie produced by Señal Colombia and directed for Juan Carlos Cajiao is going to be on air by Señal Colombia channel and also broadcasted by digital mass social media nets!







New characters, stories and places. New living portraits in this new travel around beautiful and resilient Colombia!








A great and professional team is the real secret behind the images! And of course, the main characters themselves! Without them the project cannot be done at all.

People with the time, the smile, dreams to dream, several tales to tell, tears to share, moments to catch on camera! All these things and more are Asi Somos main reason to exist. Being humans living in a Country with a big living soul: The Colombia Soul.






Three productions teams running across the country, an investigation team, a four handed editing team leaded by our conceptual editor, a magical colorist, one sound designer, our sacrificed field producers, the sharp and organized line production team...a big bunch, really.
